Waiting for one of my daughters to finish eating & we will head over to comfort my mother, so I'm taking a moment to let y'all know - seems to be a custom here & it IS comforting to kind of share the burden with the great people who make up Moparts. Anyway, he was 91 & a WW2 vet after VJ Day - the draft was still in force so he enlisted in the Navy in late 1945. He spent about 8 months in Chicago at the Naval Training Station - he had some memorable stories that I always loved to listen to. He was a high school English teacher & he was a great man. I will miss him forever & cherish the memories. I'll post a cool old photo of him when I get more time. Anyway, he had a great life & just got old & weak - his body finally gave out. nobody lives forever..............

RIP Dad.

Thoughts and prayers to you and yours. Lost my dad 15 yrs ago, mom 7 yrs ago. Just my brother and I left and we don't talk much. Families grow and then they shrink.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad.

I lost my Mom 2 years ago at 80 and still catch myself reaching for the phone sometimes...
It's always tough losing a parent. frown
