Edelbrock 88cc rpm, or you can have Indy cnc it into one of their heads.

The Ede head open chamber quench pad area is .100 deep.

Not "one", two.

So here's the deal. I currently have Indy EZ1 max wedge heads and single 4 intake. My pistons sit .016 out of the hole and I have the thickest gasket I can find and still only have .035 quench. Close enough to be nervous. Now I've got a hankerin' to install efi using the Eddy Pro-flow intake BUT its made for standard ports so-o-o-o I'm thinking if I switch heads to a standard port at the same time I'd use an open chamber and solve my quench issue. But obviously with .100 its going to be far to much clearance even with a thin gasket. Yes, I suppose I could cut a brand new set of heads !!

Cometic make gaskets any thickness , been running mine .016 out .051 gaskets for 9k miles no hitting the head They have .060 off the shelf

Cometics are MLS and require a specific finish on the block and heads. Mine does not have that finish and everyone I've talked to (Cometic and engine builders) say they won't work properly.

The most cost effective solution to your problem which depending on how much piston to wall clearance you have, might not be a problem, is a Cometic head gasket and a trip to the machine shop with your intake to have injector bungs installed. Lots of change from that out of the price of cylinder heads and a new intake.

Depending on where your top ring is located, shaving .004 off the piston shouldn't compromise its integrity but head gaskets are still cheaper and easier.

That Proflo intake with the front mount throttle body does look cool... Your current combo has more power potential tho. shruggy

I'm sure they do but you won't find out without calling them now (661-728-9200 after being bought, moved and merged twice in the last 5 yrs scope shruggy
I've used their copper head gaskets a bunch of times with good results, blown or N/A up

Lots of people run them with the "wrong" finish as is with no problems and some do it by spraying them with Coppercote or some other sealant. Cometic doesn't recommend this but I'm sure it's more from a product liability view than reality. They have no idea how "wrong" the finish that a customer has might be so to eliminate any leaking complaints that aren't their fault, they dictate the installation procedure.

Mopar used to run shim gaskets OEM and I don't recall any specific deck finish for those. That was a metal to metal seal as well.

Yes - but my "custom" thick Cometic gaskets were $400 a set! This was over 5 years ago.

.060” thick by itself doesn’t require them to be “custom” from Cometic.

The tight quench has been my dilemma for a few years now and I've posted on here numerous times about the issue. Cometic has often been the suggestion but this is the FIRST time anyone has suggested the SCE ones. I think these just may be the solution to my losing sleep at night! Thanks!

I have been using copper for 20yrs and with studs I like to add some tq to the head stud around 5 to 10 ft lbs.
