Love it! Unfortunately the Furries are no longer there at the same time or you would give them a run for their money!

The show was fantastic. It's a must go too event.

Brad - Thanks for the chat on Friday. I couldn't find you on Sunday.

Ryan - The Barn Finds were fantastic and it was nice to meet you in person. We await your West Coast swing. Keep up the good work.

To my knowledge the 3 that were there are the only ones still in existence, the 4th one was sold new at a dealership in Kalida Ohio (a small town about 30-40 minutes from where I live) and from all accounts I’ve heard it was destroyed in the 70s or 80s.

My dad and I went to the show year for the first time, we were very impressed! As dad put it it’s “automotive overload”, so many amazing cars to see, we were blown away.

Hey Chris, I enjoyed talking to you Friday as the GT40 got unloaded next to where we were standing! I was hiding in the stage area on Saturday and Sunday, which is where I've been assigned in recent years and enjoy watching over and assisting with various things like the awards on Sunday.
I really had a great time this year. I was amazed at the size of the crowd Saturday, the aisles were so packed with people I was wondering if the fire marshal was going to come in and shut the place down due to exceeding occupancy limits! Those who say the hobby is dying off might want to rethink their opinion, twocents
As is always the case at MCACN the cars are only one part of the pleasure of the event. I think back to some of the highlights for me, and meeting people I've known for years, online, but never met in person, including Chris and Barry Washington this year, were high on the list. Jim flagging me down on Friday when I was driving a 3 wheel cart around and asking me to drive Mr Norm out to a Dart to autograph it was another highlight. And having my convertible there for its 50th birthday on Sunday was an honor (even though no one brought a cake! whiney) The car looks a lot better than I did on my 50th, better than I did on any of my birthdays truth be known...
MCACN 12th edition is November 20-21, 2020, Mark your calendars!

It was a pleasure to meet you Brad.

We have emailed back & forth for close to 20 years so far & I was not going to leave without meeting you face to face.

Thank you & thanks to all the other volunteers as well. beer

Ryan did an awesome job with the barn finds as well, it was packed on Saturday, very popular with the crowd & it truly was a crowd.

The show overall was awesome, great to see old friends & make new ones too.

I regret I didn't have someone take a picture of the 3 of us by my car Sunday!
Thanks again for finding me that pizza Friday evening when I was watching the exit overhead door and couldn't get anyone on the radio to respond about having someone relieve me so I could take a dinner break. You saved me from starvation! I really enjoy working at the show every year helping out, but things get so hectic Thursday and Friday, getting everyone breaks sometimes falls through the cracks.
Bob described set up as throwing a 1500 piece puzzle on a table and telling his granddaughter she has 1-1/2 days to get it all put together. It aint pretty sometimes but somehow after we all put in 14 hour days and some people even longer, we get it done! For those show car owners who sometimes get stuck waiting for several hours with their rigs before getting into the hall, thanks for your patience! As much planning goes into making move in go smoothly, somethings always get in the way like people leaving their rigs on the floor for several hours after unloading, and getting in the way of moving in other rigs, or coming too early and hiccups like that.
Here are my pictures of the show. They aren't in order by any means on how the cars were displayed, I end up being like a pinball bouncing around the hall, taking a few pictures here and there as I go from one area to another, and in the end when I look at other picture collections from the show, I always find I missed a few great cars despite being there 4 days! And seeing my pictures you might think there are 75% Mopars there and only a handful of Chevies and 2 or 3 Vettes. That is just my bias showing! wink There are probably about 125-150 Mopars in a given years show, another 20-25 AMCs, the rest are the "other guys".
