Aw thanks but you guys totally have it covered.

I'd have to dig through the basement to find any info worth mentioning on the old blocks, and other than foundry info
(which at this point is all trivia since none of them will do anything for Chrysler anymore anyway)
it's mostly stuff that's been posted here before.

PJ, there is a thread on here once a month about someone crying that they cannot find a decent aftermarket wedge block to buy and build. Then they ask if someone will ever cast them again. The answer is always, no. That is a good deal on an impossible block to find. Buy it. For $2000, you could sell it and make money. I’m surprised you have not got a box full of messages wanting to buy it already. In short, yes, buy the block.

Thank you for the input. I will tell him that I will take it. I have it in my garage now. He has been more than patient while I made up my mind. PJ

Is anyone here using a 2 bolt main wedge Mega block? I think most guys are using the cross bolted blocks? I wonder how much less horsepower it can handle compared to a cross bolted block?

Nice thing about this 2 bolt block---being a common casting it can be machined for 4 bolt without removing too much material.

Thank you everyone for the advice and for clarifying what I have. Things have been really slow at work due to the GM strike and they haven't picked up much. Therefore I am going to sell the 1998 NOS Mega Block P5007671. PJ

What heads fit the P5007671 block? Do the 906's, 915's and standard 440 heads fit it?PJ
