What is the cleanest gas to use in your daily driver?

As far as detergent in the gas QT in our area but if you want gas that is clean the Costco near me get 6 deliveries a day nothing settles in those tanks LOL

I find that dark red kidney beans make the worst gas and pinto beans the best.

In all seriousness, it really depends. Around here there is one refinery within 100's of miles. You it really does not matter does it?

I generally use Shell because they have the best facilities but I haven't noticed a bit of difference between their gas and the "oh my god I am out of gas and this is the only station for 100 miles" gas. I fill up the 2500 about once a week, sometimes once a day depending. So I use everyone's gas and it's all the same around here.

I only use BP or now Amoco ultimate around here. Make my Harley run better and is clear with no yellow tint to it. I find it works the best in everything I own...

i live right on the gulf so there a a few stations that have Rec gas(eth free) it may help the soft parts in the carb but my hotrod doesnt run any different and it doesnt last any longer when it sits.

I worked in a gas station from 1974-1977 and we would use a long stick every morning to see how much gas was in our four 12000 and 6000 gallon underground tanks. We also put a white paste on the stick to see how much water was in each tank. If it got over 1/2 inch we would tell the delivery guys and they would at the refinery put a “dry gas” additive to absorb water. Now each tank had an outlet 6-12 inches from the bottom of the tank that would drawl gas out going to the pumps. The problem arises went gas is delivered and dropped into the tanks mixing all the dirt, water, and crud from the bottom of the tank. Are there filters at the pump? Yes there should be but I have always kind of bypassed gas stations went I see a fuel delivery truck dropping fuel.

Pittsburghracer, me too! I never knew if it was the case or not, but I figured it was a logical theory that it would mix any sediment at the bottom of the tanks.

I like BP and Kwik trip Up here. The hot rod always gets gas from Shell. I feel their 93 is superior to most.

There is one gas station here that sells non-ethanol gas. The thing I hate about ethanol is the black stuff that grows around your gas cap. I guess its a mold of some sort.

We have 3 refinery here my Sister In law worked at one. Frei d worked at another and a club member and friend worked at a,plant tgat made the stuff they put in it to make it what it is.
When you come down to it the gas is like making a post of soup.
It is a base. Then things are,added to it to clean. Anti knock. Etc. And of course the final octane it ends up being.
All our gas has alky in it by law 1 percent.
All the gas,we have mostly comes from one place. I get 89 for the drivers. And 110 race with lead for every thing else.
I keep 3 barrels with Stabil in it sealed for the generator.

In it in the driver. I did have some I forgitg about that was 5 years old. It was fine in the metal barrel and worked great in the cars and lawn equipment. Could not even tell. I did have one tgat was 3.years old and it was also just as good like that day I bought it.

Natural gas is very “normal” around the southern Louisiana area because spicy red beans and rice AND pork chops are so popular!

Thanks guys for the replies. It was recommended that I use Shell gas only. I wanted to see what others thought. Has anyone used a product called Seafoam? How did it rate? I have also been told that some vehicles are sensitive to it.

Sea foam is fantastic. It was recommended to my on a motorhome forum for my generator that sat four years unused. Good stuff
