Hi all,

Can you help me identify this U-Joint....I do not have measurements....it accidentally got thrown away in the scrap pile. The car has an 8 3/4 rear end. I've attached a photo.

Looks like a 7260 to me but you really need to measure the outside width of the cups or the inside width of the driveshaft yoke minus the retainer width to make sure you get the right one scope
The difference between the 7260 and the 7290 is not a bunch shruggy
if this is a car that will be driven hard and has a lot of traction you might want to buy a Neapco HD off road replacement joint with no grease zerk, they won't break as easy as the one you have now twocents

7260 is 2.125 between yoke inner surfaces. Overall width about 3.250. Caps are 1.078 dia.

7290 is 2.625. Width is 3.625. Caps are 1.125.

Looks like the Spicer 5-789X is the only solid 7260 joint out there based on my brief search.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

Make sure it's not a combo-joint!
