Now that these have been out for a while.....how do their frame rails, brackets and body sheetmetak fit. Deciding between the cost of ripping apart a shell to fix my car or just buying their stuff. Your experiences?

Depending on how nice/rustfree the "shell" is?, why not just "build" the shell if your project is that bad?....assuming the shell is the same make/model

It's not.... a 4 door. That is why I was asking about the quality on the frame rails and brackets and such from AMD. It's pretty labor intensive to dismantle on as well as removing the panels from my Restoration project

I suppose the bottom line is if you are restoring your car to bring you lasting fun for years to come, or if you are restoring you car to win national paint dot competitions at judged shows.
If your goal is to have a nice car for years to come, the aftermarket parts will be just fine. If your doing the judged national paint dot restoration competitions, you better start looking for a rust free 2 door version of the body you have.
What is your expected outcome? Gene

I don't care about shows a words or any magazine features. I was wondering how AMD parts fit. Has anyone here used their frame rails brackets wheel houses quarter panels etc, etc. I wanted to find out people's opinions who have actually used the frame rails and related parts

It'll all depend on the make and model your restoring? some of the AMD components are a compromise to fit various models and years, thus requiring some fitment/modification, some components are quite accurate, if your more specific with what parts you intend to use, and the vehicle your restoring, members can have better input as to what AMD or other vendors components to use or avoid, myself I've used mostly E body AMD components and a few assorted 68-72 B body components from them

don't forget, the quality control on these cars back in the day wasn't that good, plus who knows what has happened to it in the approximately 50yrs since new.
then add rust to the equation.

no matter what item you choose, be prepared to do some massaging to get the part to fit, NOS or AMD.
in some cases, the AMD part fits better than NOS. it all comes down to the individual car and what the part is.

I cant comment on the frame rails but I have used plenty of floor pans, trunk pans, deck filler, quarters, etc. I have found that the trunk and floor pans usually fit great. I just finished a dart and the front valance fit perfect but the rear valance would have taken a ton of work so I ended up using an original. One part that never seems to fit without a bunch of massaging is wheel house's and trunk extensions.

Almost all AMD I have user is great, 73 Cuda all new exterior metal except rockers, and I mean all including roof skin, all fit perfect, had to play with front fenders some, trunk floor, wheel houses and extension, great. 69 Charger, whole car from doors back, all great with some work. Did a 67 Monaco 2 dr with factory quarters a few years back, right side dropped on, left one, ***, I think it was built for F**d, hours to make fit. Any panel on a car may fit or may not fit but overall I have been really happy with any AMD panel, alot of the other sheet metal guys, 50-50 crap shoot. Just my thoughts on it, Running a Classic car restoration business for 20 plus now.

I read that their 66-70 B body front frame rails were SHORT by about an inch. A guy on another site posted about fitment trouble he was having. I have no personal experience though.
