My friends came and took the road runner a few days ago their house to do one last go-over on the car before it gets passed on to my wife.
They did a nice thing and that really got me all choked me up.
The only thing not on the list was the B&M Hammer shifter that broke off as he was parking it. I am so glad that happened when he had it in his hands and not when i wife had to take it out for the slow parade.

Stu, the reality you express is so deeply saddening I wish I could just hang out with you and deny this whole thread existed. I want you to know what a positive influence you've been to all of us here, thank you for being you. - Art

Stu,
It’s been close to 20 years I’ve known you. All this time, you’ve been the face of this forum to me, brother. I haven’t been around this site often the last year and a half since I went back to school. This morning I was looking at my phone and I had a premonition something was wrong with you. I shrugged it off and hit the link and bam. Here we are. As are so common, the words, “I don’t know what to say” are appropriate. I’m so very sorry this disease decided to pick on such a beautiful human being.
You have been such encouragement to me over the years. I can still remember one night, standing on a ladder inside my garage in Idaho, talking to you on the phone as you helped me set the springs on my garage door. How compassionate you were with me telling me to be careful because people can get hurt messing with preloaded springs. I’ve been gone from that house for 10 years, but I’m sure the garage door opener still hangs there with the little sticker I put on it that it says “Stutronic 2000” to honor you. I also remember the time we were talking about San Francisco and I commented that I’ve never been there, always wanted to, and that I like Ghirardelli chocolate but I couldn’t get it here. A couple days later I received a care package from you. I know that my life is just one of dozens that you have made a caring and positive difference in over the years, While you’ve asked for nothing but friendship in return. I will always regret that I didn’t make it down to the clubhouse to see you in person and share our cars together.
Thank you for all the encouragement that you gave me on my cars, but most of all for the friendship. I really hate The thought of you going through this. God bless you my friend. My prayers go out to you and your sweet wife. It Lord bless you and keep you. May he shine his face down upon you and give you peace. Stu, you are a great man and my life is better for knowing you.
~Lindy~

Stu, I haven't logged on or posted here in more years than I can remember. I happened to look the site yesterday and this thread was the first one I saw. As many have already said, I struggle to find the right thing to say. But, your positive attitude will go a long way in your fight. Miracles happen every day. It is my wish you are blessed with remission and eventually a cure.
Your life is not my fault. My life is none of your business.

Stu, You have been on here a long long time. I know I found this place when I bought a 1980 Dodge Powerwagon and I have had that car for 15 or more years now. Now this thread isn't quite threatening to become as long as the roller painting a car thread but it did get me to thinking.... Would you be willing to post some things you remember as being fun and interesting threads? I am sure some are gone and won't be found, but others like this were fun to read once in a while. https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/408935/1.html

My friends came and took the road runner a few days ago their house to do one last go-over on the car before it gets passed on to my wife.
They did a nice thing and that really got me all choked me up. That was an outstanding gesture on their part. I'm only just seeing this now... last I saw I thought you were on the mend. So sorry to see this... and I'm going to pass some info along to you via PM My brothers fiancé has been fighting ever spreading melanoma for the last 2+ yrs at Sloan Kettering cancer center in NYC. (foot to lymph nodes, to bladder, to liver) After surgeries and standard treatments, it went from bad to worse. She got into a clinical trail with a new " immunotherapy cocktail", and it finally killed the cancer... pretty quickly too. But the treatment, and the associated side effects made Chemo look like a Sunday picnic... Cancer's dead... but she's been fighting the side effects now for well over a year with little progress. But still living, and finally starting to see some slow progress back to normal. I'll send(PM) you the drug list that you can ask your Doctors about... San Fran is a big high profile city, just like NYC... So hopefully they already have exchanged some info with Sloan relating to what I'll send you. Note it was a Clinical trial for those facing a poor outcome, via standard methods. From what I've read in this thread you may now fit the bill... Having gone through the whole neck cancer Surgery.Chemo.Radiation deal myself, I know how bad it can be. Best of luck... PS:... Unless California is completely off the rails, you should be able to gift the road Runner to your wife easily. The '74 Challenger I have, was gifted to me from my Dad... I gifted my Brother a '72 Olds, and Toyota to my Brother-in-law And my Aunt gifted me her low mile olds before she passed. Just had to pay title & registration fees... no TAXES edit (info sent to PM)

Stu ----
Keep on fighting, don't give in. Never give up, as was recently pointed out, clinical trials have shown to be effective and you should have your doctors look into that approach.
Always in my prayers -- All the best to you and your family.
