So Fiat is releasing an aluminum 6.4 VVT block.
Part numbers are P5160143 and 144.
These come with different levels of machining. Part numbers may not be in the system yet.
Now for the possible really good news.
The famous Drag pak blocks.
Reinforced and offet lifters.
P5160145
P5160146
One has unmachined lifter bores.
I believe the dragpak blocks have extra reinforcement.
Not so good news is that its still to be reviewed by engineering and if it comes out it will be sometime in Feb 2019.
Matt

There are some good things coming down the pike.

That's great news that there are part numbers now. I am wondering if Fiat will make these 6.4 aluminum VVT block part of production cars finally? Why would you need VVT in a race only application there is no need for it?

Rick Talbot had mentioned to me about these blocks a few months back when I spoke to him. I'm hoping they make the 7.0 aluminum blocks available to the public.

Acutally we would be happy with another 6.1 aluminum block for our next engine build as our power levels aren't very high at 600hp and could use the most weight off the front end.

This is great news. I've wanted a production-style aluminum block for years.
Also lends credence to a production 7-liter aluminum NA motor for 2020 Challengers and Chargers.

Google search shows nothing on those part numbers yet. Please update when you have additional information!

Page 14 of the 2018 Mopar Performance Engine catalog has the PNs that the OP mentioned. Looks like a whole new line of aluminum blocks. 6.1, 6.4, 7.0

https://www.mopar.com/content/dam/mopar/pdf/performance-catalogs/Performance_Engine_Catalog.pdf

More than $5K MSRP Ouch

Still can't find anything about it online, but it may be tied to the Hellephant annoucement tomorrow.

Just more of the same old teasing from mopar with no actual product.

Word was that they were going to release a 426 hemi that was either going to be an option or a replacement for the current 392 and it would be an aluminum block, but like everything at FCA it got cancelled. That was supposed to be one of the blocks in the MP catalogue, so who knows if they're even making them now.

I just had the dealer run the 2 PNs for the ali blocks. Still unavailable with a ETA of 2022, per his inside contact at FCA.
