Amazing car! Do they typically run factory carbs (i.e. AVS, AFB, Holley 4160 etc) or can you cheat and use an Edelbrock or holley hp place of the OEM carb? Everything but the block is supposed to be factory OEM parts with correct part numbers. You can do what ever possible to make your parts better as long as they keep there stock appearance. I do not treat the tires. I shave them down to the wear bars and start burning em up from there. A good set of tires are priceless! So you are saying it’s an aftermarket block with stock pistons, cranks, rods, cams, intake manifolds, carbs, etc etc, but they can use a tire and compound that is modified. If so that’s super fast for that combo. Even for Fall type weather at an east coast track. Congratulations i think they can use stroker cranks, different rods and pistons, but the heads have to appears stock, the intake has to be stock, same with carbs and exh manifolds... cam is whatever they want to run, but not sure if it has to sound stock???

It’s really pretty easy....... “Correct” castings for heads, intake, exhaust, carbs.
You can do anything to them that doesn’t appear incorrect when the motor is fully assembled.
If you’re not a front runner type car, then using the exactly correct heads, intake, carb, etc isn’t quite as important.
For example, if you have a 70 GTX 440 4bbl combo running 12.70’s, no one is going to be upset that you have 452 heads on the motor instead of 906’s.

So you are saying it’s an aftermarket block with stock pistons, cranks, rods, cams, intake manifolds, carbs, Those are usually big displacement engines (Hemis @498cu. ?, others up to 600cu) with 'stock' internals, custom cams with long duration, extrude honed exhaust manifolds and probably intakes as well. Absolutely amazing.

I love 63 Plymouths, 2 door hard top and sedans I've own and race several of them, the Aluise family owns my 415 HP Belevdere 2 door sedan old NHRA stocker and they have set the NHRA record in A/SA several times with it years ago. My old M.W. Belevedere 2 door hardtop is in Finland now, not sure if it is being raced still or not anymore I have a 1963 2 door Fury now that I'm planning on making it into a nice street car
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

Atta boy, Ed! That thing is really hauling the mail.
Ron, all cars have to use the stock rim diameter:
14.00 TIRES AND WHEELS AND BRAKES 14.01 Wheels must be correct*, including correct* diameter, width and material. Note: Width may be upgraded to a maximum of 6”, if the correct* wheel is narrower than that. Reproduction wheels OK. 14.02 All 4 wheels and tires must be same size. Exception: Mopar TA Challenger came from factory with G-60’s on rear and F-60’s on front. 14.03 Original equipment reproduction bias-ply tires only. No soft compound tires of any kind are allowed. Retread tires are not allowed. Any car is allowed to upgrade to a maximum size tire of G-70 of the correct* wheel diameter. All cars that were originally available with a 60 series tire can upgrade to a maximum size of G-60 tire of the correct* wheel diameter.

I didn’t know “shaving them down” stands for doing burnouts, late at night, under the cover of darkness way out in the back of the pits? Hehehehehe
