Small block 1096 hp with Turbo 400 Rossler transmission.
Want to swap out the 2.10 and go to a 2.48 race 1st gear
Where are you buying them from that will hold up to 1100hp?
Not sure if Rosslers parts are any better in quality than the other racing brands out there.
Looking for suggestions.

No other choice but to send it back to Rossler which I did not want to do.
Rossler does not sell parts.

Have you checked with Abruzzi? Marco should be able to fix you up. Maybe 15 minutes from Rossler.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Does anyone know how much power a stock 2.48 planetary can take in a turbo 400?

I can't comment on power potential but I have been looking to go to a powerglide and the over 1000 hp guys seem to be going 1.58-1,69 planetaries. I have no where near that but that seems to be the norm. And they are making 2 speed 400s !

Maybe with power adders but I'm sure a 3250 lb. Car with those planetary would be a real turd.
Coan thinks I should try the 2.10 planetary. There thought was the I wont knock the tires off.

The staring line ratio, rear gear ratio +l ow gear ratio + tire circumferences, determines the real starting line ratio in low gear on the starting line, doesn't it work up
Each one affects the rest of the combination twocents

I guess it depends on the total package. I am going from a 2.45 first in a 3 speed to a 1.98 in a 2 speed. just a low buck bracket racer here.

Isn't the 1.98 ratio one of the weakest gear sets made for a Powerglide?
I was told that years ago by old SS Chevy racer shruggy

Cab years ago the old gear sets were built using the smaller 6 cylinder 1.82 housings and I broke two different sets. The now offered straight cut gear sets are built using the heavier duty 1.76 housings and are much stronger. My 1.98 in my black duster has 3 years of 1.25-1.28 sixty foot times on them. I also have a 1.80 gear set going in my other ATI case, and a 1.69 ATI in my heads up car
