I am working on the wiring for my 5.7 Hemi in to the 64 wagon project. I need to add a sending unit for an aftermarket oil pressure gage. I still need to use the stock oil pressure and oil temp sensors for the computer. Any one else added another sending unit? There looks to be another port above the oil temp sender on the block. Can I use this port for oil pressure? Is there a better place to add a sender?

Just above the oil filter you will see 2 plugs. If you remove one of them this is where I have mine. Sorry I don't have any pictures of it.

You'll want to use the top Port of the 2 above the filter as the top one is post filter and will give a accurate reading. The bottom Port is pre filter, so if your filter becomes plugged for some reason you'll could get inaccurate readings.

Thanks. That's the one I thought would work best.

i made it the same as realwing. Just used a T for two ports : 1 Manual gauge, 1 for a pressure Switch to cut the E fuel pump. On the side i have the remote oil filter plumped.
