Time to get a set of tires for my '71 Demon 340 project. Using the original 14" sbp ralleye wheels.
The car used to have 245-60-14 on the rear and looked awesome, but the only tire I've found in that size is the BFG T/A. I've heard the white letters turn brown on them bad, so I'm a lil leary of getting those.
Leaning towards a 235-60 Cooper Cobra, but I kinda want to go skinnier up front...possibly 215-70.
100% sure I want a raised white letter tire. Never cared for blackwalls w/ ralleye wheels.

I'd like to see pics of what yall are using. Thanks!

I've broken belts in BFG products on my A bodies twice, and that's too many times. Tires weren't abused either. Had one turn into a farm tractor tire - grew tall and skinny out of the blue - broken belt. Replaced them with a set of Tiger Paws (same maker) and one blew apart sitting in my garage - again, not abused. Never again. Cooper Cobras,,,,,

My '71 Dart GT uses 14" x 5 1/2" small bolt pattern Rallyes on it. I went with P195-75R14s up front.

You cant go wrong with Copper Cobras in my view, look vintage, wear well and hook reasonably well for common radials. twocents

Careful, your character's showing!

Thanks yall. I'm thinking of just putting 235-60 Coopers at all 4 corners now.
I really wanted the fatter 245-60 BFG, but it'll really disappoint me if they turn brown.

Mickey Thompson on 14x9.5" widened ralleys. I don't recall the size of the tire, sorry -- I know they aren't available any more. I was lucky to get them when I did...I got like the last 2 in the country. One had to be shipped from the east coast somewhere.

Maybe buy sbp 15" rallye wheels and make the jump to better tire selection?

15" does have a much better selection, but I'm sticking w/ the original 14" on this car.
