Why take a classic and turn it into a turd?

There are plenty of Impalas out there....

Since we were asked- Big wheels ruin it. Richard Rawlings has been said on this forum of wearing girl jeans. He is wearing "Skinny Jeans" and they are aimed at 13 to 30 year olds and yes they look ridiculous on old guys. Big wheels on muscle cars is the same as Skinny Jeans on Steve McQueen.. James Dean.

Keep old mopars alive.

Rear wheels diameter is perfect. Front wheels look like 17's. 18's would look better. The back "might" look better raised 1/2". twocents

I'm simply amazed.

I actually liked the overall look, and I'm "old school", I'll accept almost any wheel on a Mopar rig, as long as it's not some stinkin dog dish/poverty caps, that where I draw my line...

I like it. Not exactly what I would do, but overall it's not bad.

For my tastes, the sweet spot for big wheels on a musclecar is 17" (though I like stock wheels too), with tires that have a taller profile than these. I like the wheel style, and would prefer it a little less lowered for my tastes (and our crappy roads...).

But, looks alright, and I'm sure the owner is happy with it.

I'm thinking the fronts look like 18s and the rears 19s or 20s. But just a guess... cool

Meh, not my taste.

But I don't get too wound up about ugly wheels--they are easy to take off and replace when the fads change.
It's not like they cut up the bodywork like guys did back in the late 80's when the "Pro Street" fad was the flavor of the day.

And mint chocolate chip for me, thanks.

I don't really mind it, overall a nice-looking car.
I prefer the same diameter wheels front & rear, and with those wheel openings, the same amount of rim showing at both.
Me, on that car, I'd probably run 15" Magnums, and a bit more ride height, but I'm not bothered by the car the way it is.
There are other wheels & add-ons that are done to death, though...

Nitpicker here boogie. I think it's a tad too low.

I like sidewalls that the larger rims do away with, but the 5 spoke rim style saves the look somewhat.

Color is great.

Looks like a well done car to me. I would be proud of it if I owned it but I would put big-n-littles on it. I like a meaty tire vs. trend of little sidewall and big rims.

Right. This is the key to the whole poll. Vanilla? Not so much. Chocolate? Omg yes!

I can't really answer the poll with the answers provided. I wouldn't call the rims ugly, but I think it would look better with 15's and a slight rake. And, I am definitely a stock guy numero uno.

I figured the rears were 20s. The B-body has a big wheel well so maybe that's why the front looks a little small. It could be an 18 already. Could be the angle of the picture making the wheel look smaller.

The larger the car is, the larger the wheels need to be in order to look proportional IMO. The smaller the car, smaller the wheels. A 17" will look HUGE on a Neon. Put that same 17" wheel on a C-body and it won't look nearly that big.

I like a lot of different "styles" of build. I like the big wheel look but also like the OE restored look.

iI like em. However, I am like IMGTX, I think it should be a little higher in the back and give it a bit more a rake to it.

Tough crowd. That truck looks good too until you open the hood. Why do people put those belly button engines in everythibg?
