Tucson AZ,
A buddy of mine mentioned to me the other night that he was working on a car with a 727 in it but said it had no provision for a neutral safety switch. I'd never heard of this but today he sent me this picture. Can someone clarify the details on this? I've not seen it in person but am curious as to what I may be missing. Thanks Guys!

It's hard to tell from the photo but it looks like there is epoxy over the hole. Maybe someone stripped the threads?

Tucson AZ,
That's what I was wondering, but without seeing it in person I'm only guessing. Figured the next best thing to do was confirm if they ever made a case without the provision for the neutral safety switch. If it were mine, I'd already have the answer. Lol

What is that using for a shifter? I see solid linkage no cable.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Is it just the angle of the pic or is that cooler line in the wrong place? Looks a little high up to me.
I think the early pushbutton trans used a different (single wire) switch and it was in a different location. If I recall it was up closer to the engine side around where the shift shaft is.

Tucson AZ,
I asked him to do a little more investigating and today I got a text saying that the hole had been sealed over. He he got it opened up and should be set to go. He also said it has a Lokar shifter in it. Anyhow, glad it wasn't some unicorn 727 after all.... He's a Chevy guy so we'll give him some slack... wink
