I have title issues also. I bought a 29' enclosed trailer new and used it for years. The shop I worked with did work on my car and they were looking for a trailer, so I gave it to them for what I owed. Fast forward about 10 years and I now own the assets of the shop after it closed down, no title to the trailer when I get it. Go to the DMV and they ask me what was the name put on the title when I gave it to the business, and they tell me no it is not but won't tell me what the name is!?! The only way they will start a title process for the trailer is for me to do a mechanics lien or a bonded title, neither of which I want to do. Sometimes it is just easier to burn things... mad

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

The whole thing is my fault, in trusting others to be somewhat competent, and to do the right thing.

The original letter demand was sent USPS "OVERNight", with return address listed, insured, at a cost of around $26.

I assumed that would imply that i wanted it back if it wasn't delivered for some reason.

The whole affair is almost funny at this point from its almost "perfect storm" scenario, especially due the fact, I still don't have the letter back, because, maybe it got lost in the approaching tropical storm, there was a wasp in my mail box, somebody used my recently lost DL to fraudulently re route my mail, etc. rolleyes

So, it's your fault the post office peeps are blinking idiots? Not in the world I live in. Time to talk to your postmaster. He will try to get you to drop your request, but when you won't they will eventually straighten their fook-ups out. Years ago p.o. stopped my mail delivery causing all kinds of grief with late payments. Problem was with substitute letter carriers. So, postmaster drags out a letter carrier and says he's the one to blame. Only thing was, the letter carrier he drug out was a close friend from years back and I knew he wasn't my letter carrier. After I called the postmaster out and threatened to call his superior, he got his shiit together and got things straightened out. Hold their feet to the flames. They will get it straightened out in spite of themselves.
