I have no affiliation with the track other than I want to race with a lot of other Mopar's.

I did not know about the Maple Grove Mopar race until this week. But I already had plans to go to Cecil and race at the NSS race there this Saturday. Ron

Couldn't make this gig. How was the turnout?

Poor IMO compared to a few years ago. Double and triple entries kept the racing going. Maybe 50-75 cars in the showfield? You could have parked anywhere you wanted if you were racing...plenty of room to spread out in the pits.

I feel like they're trying to kill it off, but only have the event because they have a Ford and Chevy day too.

They also cancelled TNT for Friday night. I live 5 miles from track and it was 71 degrees at low humidity. Numbers were probably close to negative alt. I knew a ton of guys going to Friday and sat. Cancelling friday really hurt saturdays turn out, New ownership coming cant happen fast enough. It is an awesome facility I love going there. Both Cecil and Beaver had TNT Friday with no problems

Isn't the new owner going to park a house on the starting line?

Track staying open no development stories.

I've been to Maple Grove a few times, but this was my first Mopar event and I thought it was a pretty nice event....I also liked the weather this time of year verses when the other events were held.
It seemed to have more race entries than the other Mopar races I was at this year and the show part was MUCH bigger than any of the other ones.

I'd also have to say that the track workers that I came in contact with couldn't have been much nicer and professional.......not to say other tracks I've been to aren't friendly enough, but the ones at m.g. seemed to put out a little extra effort.....and my car was actually tech'd for the first time this year.

I'll be back next year assuming they have one again.

Update to my last post.

No, I won't be going back if they have it again next year. Found out that they let non-Mopars in B1 even though they had a Mopar vs.The World class for non-Mopars. That would have looked really good if a Chevy won a Mopar event....Thankfully that little red Mopar-powered roadster kept that from happening again this year.

I also saw on YouTube some sub- 9 second dial-ins and runs in B2 (B2 was supposed to be a 9.00 and slower foot-brake class) makes one wonder how many delay boxes were let into B2 also.

Maybe the above explains why the turnout was less than previous years.
