I have 3 seams separating on my otherwise very nice front seat. Is this fixable?

Typically, that spreads to a larger area.
You'll likely have to replace the insert area.
Hopefully you have a really good upholstery shop nearby.

No, and most upholsters aren't going to bother trying to install/fabricate a new insert and deal with 4-5 decade old vinyl....IMHO new seat covers from Legendary would be better time/money spent

Bummer. I was hoping for a better remedy.

The local rep of this franchise: Fibrenew said he could do something similar. I didn't follow through so I have no direct experience though. Let us know...

I've used fibrenew before they do some amazing work.
On that you're probably better off getting it reupholstered. They usually break open like that when the leather is old so you'll probably end up paying a bit to patch it up and then have it happen somewhere else.
