I picked up a couple of 1969 big block 727 transmissions recently. I was wondering if there is a way of telling what type of car they came out of. They are both part number 2892093. One has a build date of Feb 69 and the other June 69. They don't have the full vin on them, just the last 8 digits which are 9A230525 and 9A300673. So if the A is for Lynch Road, does anyone know what models were being built there at the time of those dates or what they are most likely from?

Look on the rail where the pan attaches and give us all the numbers stamped on it. It should start with PK.
