9377 is an 1150 dominator in the Holley list

I seem to recall the “RT” designation from BG meaning “reaction time”, which meant it was a drag carb.
I don’t recall what the TE suffix was though.

We had a customer who bought one of their high end “pro stock” type prepped 9377’s.

It was $1400 in about 1997.
It had very little actual modifications done to it........ which I discovered after completely taking it apart(boosters out, idle tubes removed, etc)....... after the motor it was on torched 3 pistons.

After correcting the manufacturing defects(which were the cause of the burned pistons), it ran okay........ but not really much different than an ootb 9377 that had been properly tuned.

They did make the venturi in the main body very shiny though.

This carb was bought back in the mid 1990's probably around 1996. It has worked very well for us. I just don't know what it is since my father bought it and does not remember what it is. He does remember he bought it for a 540 indy engine he built back them and it worked.
I am planning a new build a 540 or 557 and I want to know what it is so I can use it or get something more suitable for my combo.
Thanks!

If it worked well on a 540 previously, no reason to think it wouldn’t still.
I found an ad for someone selling one.
Their description:

Review (mpn: rt9377te for sale) RT9377TE Barry Grant Dominator Holley 1150 9377
It cost 1,375. It ran flawlessly for me and I kept through the years, using on several different bb chevy drag race pro-street engines. It was their most modified dominator for single carb application is a drag race reaction time top eliminator gas. Unfortunately I think I'm done and am offering it for sale.
It has been in warm dry storage since. I saved it when sold my last car in hope to use on next project. It was bgs best 1x4 4500 at the time. History: I bought this carb new in 1995 for a drag race big block chevy.
I'm starting the auction at a low price with no reserve. The bg part number is rt9377te. Barry Grant dominator - this is a modified holley cfm gas. After its last use a few years ago, I cleaned it thoroughly and installed new gaskets.
part: rt9377te prices
Specifications rt9377te:
manufacturer part number: RT9377TE
