When did Mo Mopar start using K members? I know that on my 61 Lancerwagon it didn’t have a K member and that the steering box mounted on the frame. I do know that the 63 A bodies had a K member.

I believe the origin of the K-member (a removable crossmember shaped like a K) began with the '62 B-body.

I believe the origin of the K-member (a removable crossmember shaped like a K) began with the '62 B-body. I had a 61 Lancer wagon. I distinctly remember the steering box being bolted to the inside of the subframe and it didn’t have a removable K frame
