Hey gang. Friend brought to my attention that maybe there is a difference in the side door glass between a E-body hardtop and convertible? Here is a side door glass from what I believe is from a 70 Barracuda ragtop.

I have both conv and hardtop and just looked at them and if they're diff it's really subtle, I think they are the same.

Take care,

So they measure the same from top of door to top of glass with the window in the up position? Just checked out AMD's site real quick, looks like there is a difference, maybe inside the door.. Will check my parts book later on this week....

Cheers,

Eazy-Peazy. Conv's have a sharp corner at the upper front corner. No need for p/n's

E-body convertible door glass ( pictured by poster ) is same Cuda and Challenger, identifiable by squared front top.
E-body hardtop door glass is the same Cuda and Challenger, identifiable by rounded front top corner.
That is the easiest way to spot the difference in the two
Hardtop 1/4 glass is different Cuda verses Challenger.
And... convertible 1/4 glass is different Cuda verses Challenger... and both are different than hardtop.

Hardtop door and quarter glass have a rounded edge vs. the angular edge of the convertible glass. Here's a photo of the convertible rear quarter glass on left as compared to hardtop rear quarter glass on right.

OK, one of us is misremembering - I believe the vert quarterglass is the same for Challenger and Cuda, the hardtop quarterglass is different.....

Gavin...yes you are correct there , same 1/4 glass for Cuda/Challenger convert.

71vert340....you are partially correct, but only Challenger hardtop 1/4 glass has rounded edge
.. Cuda hardtop quarter glass has a squared edge but not the same squared contour as convertible

As Mccannix pointed out in my earlier post, my photos showed the difference between the rear Challenger glass. Here's a photo of Challenger clear convertible door glass on left to hardtop tinted glass on right. Difference in front top corner is apparent.
