When doing a 70-72 A body disk brake conversion using 73-76 parts, do you need to use the 73-76 steering center link?

I saw a guy on Youtube converting a 69 Valiant to front disks but he had to stop since he didn't have the 73-76 center link.

Thanks

I can't remember if center links are mentioned here, but this is a great article to reference when doing a disc swap.

If you are using the 73 - up Pitman and idler you do. The taper points up on 72 and back, down on 73 and after. The 73 and later is a bit easier to remove/install, and may give better oil pan clearance.
