Regarding crankshafts, how do you determine whether one is drilled for a pilot bearing or bushing? I've never had the opportunity to look at the end of a crankshaft of one that has been drilled for a bushing vs. one that hasn't to see the difference. Pics would be helpful if anyone has any. Thanks.

Thank you Dan, I appreciate it. I have one more question. If the .938 dimension is for a crank drilled for the bushing, what would the size be for one that is not?

Most of the time the clearance drill is around .915". Depends on the crank. I have seen auto cranks drilled very different over the years.
