What pistons did you use? I picked up a complete BGE engine for a 426 stroker And was very surprised to see the original crank is a very nice piece and forged? I want to Use the stock 6.200 powdered metal rods and need a nice forged piston with a compression height To give me a zero deck around 11-1 C/R...... looks like this is an easy way to make a stout 370 cube Engine???

to use the 6.4 crank and the stock 6.4 rods you would need a custom piston with a pin height of 1.187(take into account the clearance taken up by oil film when the engine is running) no one makes an off the shelf piston with that height.
Edit ....Icon has a piston IC649C-0015(3.3 Dish)IC650C-0015(13.7 dome)IC648C-0015(17cc dish) which is a pin height of 1.165 , so you are looking at -.025 below deck with a 9.25 block height..issue is the 6.2 stock rods are .945(or.984, I'm not sure) pin dia and these icon pistons are a .927 pin Dia
Now here's a combo that I've seen my builder do a few times. Eagle Block 6.4 Crank, Rod Journals turned down to 2.10 Compstar rods CSA6300DS2A2AH. 6.30 C to C with .927 pin. Icon pistons IC653C-0015 , 3.9185 bore ,8.7 cc dome, 1.09 Pin height. Cometic Head Gaskets C5467-060 this is a true 0 deck height with a 9.25 blue print block, once clearance slack is taken up by oil film in a running engine the pistons will be about .0025-.003 above the deck. Makes 12.0 to 1 with Eagle heads 358.9ci Stock Eagle heads, SRT392 Non MDS Edelbrock intake. 90mm TB Made 498 Hp @6100 and 510tq @ 4300. with F.A.S.T ignition system. using a 6.1 32 tooth tone wheel.

Take a 4.09 bore 392 and bore it to 4.125 and open the end of the rod up to chevy size and you open up a plethora of 400 SBC piston choices. A true flat top with no valve reliefs would make good compression and you would be over 400 CID. Or better yet turn your crank down to 2.0 chevy journals, buy cheap chevy rods and a flat top 400 SBC piston and get even bigger by offseting the 3.75 stroke to about 3.87 with the 4.125 bore to come out around 414 CID. If you really want to do it in the 5.7 block I think you could find an LS piston and do all the same "chevyizing"end up around 380 depending on exact bore you settle at.

Ok thanks guys..... the 392 crank will be going into an eagle 5.7 block so the pistons need to be 3.917 plus overbore ...... I’m just thinking there could be a low cost option to use this crank in a 5.7 block as it’s really a pretty nice And stout looking forged piece..... 500HP is pretty damn respectable from 360 Cubes.....

Why wouldn't you just use the whole BGE as the starting point, am I missing something?

Upon tearing down the BGE engine, I was surprised to see a very nice Forged crank.... I thought that plus a nice set of forgedpistons would make a stout foundation For building the 5.7 coming out of my Jeep.... it will be an extra engine to have ...... yes, the BGE block and heads as well as the active intake will be used For a 426 stroker for my Jeep..... the heads are made from 356 aluminum and the ports are super smooth and huge.... the stock guide bosses look as if they were already ported but are as cast...... best set of stock heads I have ever seen....
