I had a factory remote start installed into my wifes 2008 Jeep Liberty a few years ago and now she bought a 2011 Jeep Liberty that I want to put the remote start in from the 2008. Can they be removed and reused?

Sure, but it is about 8-12 hours to swap to save a couple of hundred dollars...

If you have paperwork with the part number, that will be key to a correct answer. Off the cuff? ...I’m betting not.

Not sure though with Liberty but with 2016 and 2018 Cherokee, they have the same remote but I failed to disconnect the remote to my 2016. Ended up buying https://www.jeepsareus.com/sku/82214696ab.html. My tip when you are installing it is TO MAKE SURE battery is on and is connected to wires.
