Will the back plates and drum brake assemblies from my 73 Cuda bolt onto a '66/67 B-body housing and work with no other changes? I think the brakes are 2.5" x 10". Going to be using a Dr Diff spring hanger kit to mount the narrower rear to maximize the room available for a wider tire.

You just have to use all the brake stuff for the backing plate you are using. Also, make sure the drums you use will work with the new shoes and the new backing plate. Gene

I just completely rebuilt the system on my E-body axle. Hope to swap this winter and the plan was to pull the axles, unbolt the backing plate asy and bolt them on the b-body housing and use the same drums from the Cuda. As long as the axle flanges are in the same place relative to the housing flange, I should be good to go. Famous last words.

I changed out a 71 b body dana and replaced it with a strange S60 e body setup and the backing plates bolted up perfect. I didn't even disconnect the brake lines. Just took them off and the housing line before removing old dana and hung them by wire saving the time of having to bleed the whole system.

Just use all of it. I used 11" from a truck on my Dart
