I had a 7530 that died at the track. ran fine and shut the car off. When I went to start it had no spark. I had to replace it with the 7530T since the first one was obsolete. I now run the Grid and also keep a spare one in the trailer. You just don't know what sets them off.

I was able to try out the new 150# seat-440# open springs this weekend and that was the problem with the 6600 rpm limit......it went to 7100 without a hiccup.

Now as for being any faster, it didn't seem to add much to the power level yet. I can at least test shift points now and the fuel curve, while needing some tweaking, is now making sense too.

It did equal my best previous e.t of 9.12 in 60* 1800 D.A. weather a few months ago. It was 80* 2200 D.A. on Saturday's test session.

Thanks (fast68plymouth) for the spring pressure advise .

up

I was pretty sure it needed more spring.

Glad that worked out for you.

I'm actually more disappointed that I didn't think to look into spring pressures more and question Mike Jones about it. I've been very pleased with his cams....I guess he just made a mistake as any of us could have.

I looked (in hindsight) at pretty much every catalog cam of similar size (and smaller w/.842 lobes) and they all recommend over 400# of open pressure.
