Can't make it out, is there a square 1/2" breaker bar tensioning hole in the front plate?
Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

My stuff is EFI so I don't have a mechanical fuel pump. Yeah, okay. I thought you were posting to show something that you might decide to produce for sale. EFI builds are getting popular but are still in the minority...Of course you already know that.

Even if people still have a carb one of the new EFI tanks with a high pressure regulator is a better system than a mechanical pump. http://arengineering.com/products/low-mount-60a-kit-bb/

Not intending to take away from the OP... but what advantages are there to this "Type II" ps pump?
How does it compare to a desired Saginaw pump that has proper response to quick demand L/R/L/R/ hi-rpm power assist (whereby the Federal ps pump does not)?
Is there a Type II ps pump available for SB engines?

Is there a Type II ps pump available for SB engines? These are the pump the late model circle track cars use. Some stock setups have aluminum pumps cases And aftermarket offers many in aluminum cases with variations in pump psi and flow. And IIRC there are kits to change psi and/or flow. Look at the KRC line. Also, you can run remote reservoirs. And mount them low. But bummer, I don’t know of a Small Block Mopar bracket setup for a LA small block.

I have a small, oval track style pump similar to the KRC unit linked above. I was able to utilize some stock SB brackets by modifying the bends slightly and adding a spacer behind the backing bracket. I have a divorced reservoir sitting on the inner fender. I've contemplated adding a cooler to it as well as all I need is the cooler and more hose and ends.
I don't think it would be a big stretch to figure out what else needed to be added to set a type 2 pump above the pump. In fact, I'd bet if you mock it up using some scrap steel welded together, you could take the completed unit to a local oval track fab shop with punch/laser/brake capability and have them make a fancy looking, single piece copy of your mock up. you could get it powdercoated or chromed, or if made from aluminum, anodized. Viola, fancy bracket. you might even be able to sell 3, or 4 to offset some of the cost.

Nice work as always Andy. If you ever make one for a smallblock, I'll buy it. Same for those trick billet timing covers you once offered, too bad they were not a big seller. I should have bought one when they were available. perhaps, if that program is available for purchase? Maybe I could send that to a CNC guy to have one made...

Not much information on that KRC bracket! That has to be one of the most ineffective ads for a part that I've seen. Basically zero info. They work. EMax runs that setup. I don't have any pictures, but you can see it with a quick internet search. 9 years and going strong.

Andy I just started a thread in the Q&A section about power steering and a member directed me to this thread. Looks interesting. Will this setup work with a motor plate?
Would I just have to run one hose from the Type II pump to the power steering rack, or is it 2 hoses? I was looking at the Saginaw pump and brackets on Mancini's website but I have no knowledge or experience with power steering.

Andy I think this setup will work for me, let us know when you have some ready to sell.
I will probably have to ditch my serpentine setup though so I can run a 2-groove crank pulley. I'll start looking for a part number for a March pulley kit. Does this TYPEII pump require a bolt-on or press on pulley?

So one of the 3 bolt attachments needs some work. LIke an extension cause one bolt didn't line up or something. I have pics of it on the Emax up close.

I bought these brackets from Andy, he said they probably wouldn't work with a motor plate but I wanted to try it anyways. I had to cut the ear off the rear bracket, I cut it on the dotted line in the photo. I drilled a 5/16 hole in the bracket to bolt it to my motor plate. Everything was looking great until I realized my bulky Mezeire electric water pump was gonna interfere with the belt. So I moved the pump over and down, and mounted it straight to the motor plate, and flipped the rear bracket around so it was aimed at the driver side of the car. I slotted the that hole in the motor plate where the rear bracket bolts to the plate, so that it can move when the belt tension is being adjusted. I think it's gonna work great.

Probably not a lot of folks who want to spend the money required to do this full conversion. The pump and pulley I bought from Detroit Speed were pretty expensive.

My pump is made by PSC, I got it at Summit for around $220 and it came with the pulley installed. Not real expensive at all.

There may be a market for a conversion bracket, especially because it's a singular plate.

I'm looking to do a Hydroboost conversion and need to replace the pump anyways. The Type II stuff seems to have more aftermarket support. If you do decide to make a run of those I'm game. Could probably use one of your throttle brackets for the Sniper EFI too.

wow I really like that set up....I would love a set of brackets if you make some. It doesn't really seem too expensive to convert over to that pump.

Where's what I did on my G3, it also doubles as my torque strap mount [I am not selling them/trying to hi-jack Andy's thread]. The third bracket-to-head bolt is behind the pump and countersunk. The spacing and pulley is just right so that it uses a factory 6.1L serpentine belt. The lower mounting is also a little better on the eyes, the pump is in a pretty prominent location when stock. The bottom right bolt on the bracket is 3/8-24 threaded and serves as a mounting point for a torque strap, which ties to the factory sway bar bracket on the k-frame.

Goody which pump did you use? I bought a race [ball bearing] pump from PSC motorsports. They do a lot of Jeep/off-road stuff that uses these type of pumps. I may end up going back to figuring out a stock style pump since I'd like to add a torquestorm centrifugal supercharger at some point.

I've been looking into running a KRC pump (GM type II) for my 440 and I was just about to ask if you've looked into the Unisteer bracket... until I read further down the thread, lol! I started off buying the bracket kit from Unisteer but after I bolted it on I decided it was too crappy of a design to use on my car. That was the only bracket I could find that was on the market. I'm interested as well if you have a set laying around. I'll be in Oregon next week. My plan is to swap over to a 1 wire alt, low mount Sanden A/C compressor, 440 Source 6 rib pulleys. I plan on running hydroboost as well.
