hey everyone I would appreciate some help decoding these ... looking at buying a 70 super bee 440 6 pack 4 speed car with this motor and tranny. not claimed to be original block and seller did not know about transmission. he sent me these images, 2 from transmission and 1 from engine . looks like a 69 440 from what I can tell? but I don't know much about the transmission numbers... is it possible that a 69 440 built in sept could be the original to the cars build date of oct 30 1970. any help greatly appreciated. thanks! the car has fender tag and build sheet so I know the car is legit , just figuring out the drive train.

a '70 Super Bee with an A30 "Scheduled Production Date" would've been scheduled 10/30/69

with a 8*5*69 casting date on the 440, it was probably installed in a 1970 model year car (F - series) when new.

what's the partial VIN on the 440? do you have a pic of the top pad from the 440?

the transmission is from a '70 Challenger built in Hamtramck, MI - is it 23 or 18-spline?

thanks for the reply! so there is a chance the block could be original? I will ask seller to locate vin stamp on motor ( hopefully he can find it). vin on car is wm23v0a1554**. 18 spline tranny.....well at least it is date code correct good to know.
