My inside door latch stopped working today.
I can only open it from the outside.
What's involved for the door panel to be removed.
I see outside screws.
Anything else I need to worry about.
1st time doing this and don't want to mess anything up

Sammy, Not to hard. Take the screws out on the both front and back sides.Loosen up the door lock lever bolt inside the arm rest so it will pull off. If you have a remote mirror take the bezel off. take the inside door release handle by pulling on it and take the bolt out.Now you can pull out the bottom there are clips holding it on. then lift the panel out and up.

My Challenger door panels also have two large Phillips head screws in the lock lever/armrest pocket that must be removed. One in front of and one behind the lock lever.

As 71Vert340 also mentioned, you will also need to remove the two Phillips screws in the armrest cup. And when pulling the clips loose on the inside bottom of the panel, do it carefully. Otherwise you may break the clips, or rip the the clip mount loose from the back of the panel. I like to lay on the floor so I can see what I'm doing as I carefully pry the clips loose. Also, be gentle when re-installing the panel and popping the clips back in place.

I'm going to figure out why my inside door handle doesnt work now. Tomorrow morning before it gets too hot.
Is there a way to look behind the door panel and see what's wrong without taking the panel entirely off?

Nope.

In addition to things mentioned above, if it has roll up windows you also have to remove the window crank handle.

Power windows? Not sure, I have not owned one yet.

& 1970 E-body doors have more lower panel retainer clips than 1971 up.

Just be gentle & go slow.

Thanks everyone for the helpful tips.
1. Manual side mirrors.
2. Manual window cranks.
3. 1970 Challenger R/T

Any guesses what part disconnected inside to make the inside door handle not work anymore?

Thanks to all of you that explained it to me.
No rods were off.
Just needed some WD40 on the latch mechanism.
Opens and closes nicely now.
Door panel did have to come off though.
