Might be doing drag week. Any issues for that 1K drive?

None... been running them for years.. they are designed for straight
line use but have been fine

You will be better off if you are still running axle seals. I ran 5 drag weeks on mine and did have one start to make a little noise, but they were in there for 10 years before I started doing drag week.

You need the correct green bearing. The early ones that Mopar sold turned out to not work so great. Talk to Cass, he has the ones that will live.

Have put 10k miles on my driver 69 dart in 1 yr and 1 month. Have a used green bearing on one side and a new one on the other . I was worried at first, that all faded away directly. That is until my buddy riding with me says hey, remember those green bearings as we rally the corners on a rd trip..... Lol

The 7 1/4's in cars ran a factory bearing that looked about like the Green

These posts about the fear using sealed type ball bearings on axles really makes me think about where have you guys been Ford and Toyota trucks have been using the sealed bearing for years with zero issues at all. You can have a sealed bearing in a Toyota or for Ford rear for 200K and NEVER have an issue hauling loads,cornering,or racing.
As stated already make sure you have a seal in the axle housing to keep the hot gear oil from seeping through the axle bearing seal and washing the good bearing lube away from the bearing and it will last a very long time
Tapered roller bearings are obviously BETTER for side loading or carrying heavy loads but not needed for most high performance applications such as a street strip car. The old one piece flange and bearing assembly "Green" brand bearing is probably where they get a bad reputation because those things were junk compared to the factory roller bearings. The new style ones are fine.

7,000 street miles with some sporty turning on my Dr. Diff green bearings. No apparent issues.

For over 7 years already I've been daily driving my '73 Dart with 8-3/4" and Dr.Diff green bearings through 5 million roundabouts a month orso. Give or take.

So to be clear you already have the green bearings in the car and are wondering if they will be an issue?

I have never been sure of why people convert to green bearings? I have no idea if one is better than the other, but is it because you can’t find thrust buttons for your limited slip? Never really had a problem with that. Run a spool? Just slide the thrust block from an open diff into the spool. I just don’t know the “problem” they are trying to fix

If you don't control the axle side play, end play side to side, it will wipe out the bearing retainers
Hence the need for the green bearings with their built in no side play bearing retainers

Just use the thrust block for the limited slip and you can use an open diffs thrust block with a spool. Adjust the end play as per manual and No need to change to green bearings.

Too stupid/lazy to deal with the factory adjusters.

main issue I have seen with Green bearings is being installed with the stock thrust pin and stock length axles.
The green bearing moves the axles in a bit from stock, so you need to either remove the diff thrust pin or take a little bit off the axle shaft ends so the bearing are not side loaded.
There are two Green Bearing types, One is solidly mounted to the housing end, and the other has a snap ring with a plate that holds the bearing in, so that one can sort of float a bit and not crack like the first type.
