I saw that car a few years back at the Vernon CT Mopar show, it's very nice and well worth the asking price.

i agree 100%. rustproofing on the leaf springs and the underside scream used car dealer perfumed pig.
in the pic link i see rust holes in the front lower 1/4 panels but nothing about about sheet metal replacement in description.
if it was done properly it could be a really nice car. and if it were a nice properly built car $39K would be a reasonable price. i am not a buyer for the car so my opinion isn't that relevant but me thinks it isn't a really nice car after a close inspection.

Hello everyone, this is my car and I have it posted in the for sale section. I been a quiet member for a while. As I understand, it has one repaint and and the rust as shown is not bad for a 47 year car. So I don’t understand “not down properly”. I never said anything about a restoration?? Someone sprayed undercoating prior to me buying... the car is junk then? I think the car is priced to go and I couldn’t replace it for $39. I don’t think I could find one, never mind replace it. People don’t realize what cars cost till they go out and try to buy for real. But most are computer car warriors that haven’t actually bought anything in years or anything at all. But they are the experts. So I have your perfumed pig ; )

Easy there on throwing the butthurt card out so quickly, I dont see any comment being too negative, they could be alot worse with no merit here.

AND you know a serious buyer would contact you, not post crap then call you.

Looks like a pretty nice car, all the right colors, right options, good tags, ect.... a great old car or if a so called perfectionist want to buy it do a little body and paint work so be it.

When is the last time a combo like that came up for sale?

But hey I do see some non mopars in those pics....thats iffy. KIDDING.

1st off, I mean no disrespect. I was interested in the car and am VERY serious. As I plan to buy something by years end. Although I do have a car in my sights, but the wife god would rather we buy something cheaper. ( thats another story for another day )
So I'm keeping my options and mind open to maybe something else . If its not a Hemi car at has to be a high options big block car . With either Ac and/or convertible are a must. This car is close with the sunroof and Air conditioning.

I LOVE the options combination , especially A/C and sunroof . The black exterior is a plus in my mind BUT would prefer it not to be a black interior . And this body style is growing on me .

Key word is WAS. IMO at least some mention of 'small amount of rust' should have been mentioned in the ad I posted a link to. Not disclosed by a 3rd party on this board. That alone kicked it to the bottom of my interest list.. As I have zero interest in a project . And the rust shown is far more than Im willing to accept at this time.

I do wish you the best of luck on a sale sooner than later.

I was over the moon with this car a few years back, I either spoke with or emailed the owner and if I remember correctly I thought I was told back then it was original paint that was clear coated. I may be remembering another car but think it is this one. Can the present owner chime in? I feel it is a rare piece but if I was still a buyer there is still too much that needs restoring for my taste at this price point. Please understand this isn't a knock toward the car at all just my thoughts.

Yes, plenty on non-mopars EV2bird! I grew up with Camaros and Chevelles. Then later in life, when I had the resources, I started collecting cars and only then, I really discovered how cool and bold the mopars were!

I have had tons of interest from CL and I have a couple coming in this weekend to buy, but who knows. This will be the first showing. If the Chevelle SS sells first, I will be able to keep the car! I still have another 72 RR/GTX, so makes it easier to let go!

If you are into the 72’s. This is a rear bird. Only 34 Roadrunner or Roadrunner/ GTX s had a sunroof. How many were GTXs?... how many were triple black with all these options. I just want it to go to a good home. I am selling the car for what I paid for it a few years back. And only selling to fund another acquisition.

This could be the car. It was in Connecticut when I bought and do not know when it was brought to the east coast from California.

Unfortunately a non-mopar. I was looking for a 68-70 Charger RT and then a1970 Mustang Mach 1 428 SCJ drag pack 4.30 rear came along. So that is the new acquisition. I’ll save my pennies and hopefully the next one will be the Charger!

If you have to jump off the mopar boat, a 428 SCJ Mach I is not a bad place to land. Killer cars. Post a pic if you get it.
