I have installed MP electronic distributor in my 70 440. Can I use the stock points type ballast resistor (2095501)? Or, is there one itended for use with electronic ignition. I would like stock look if possible for ballast.

Yes easily. the last one I checked was 1.6 ohms. its more about the ballast/coil primary ohms total rather than the ECU not being able to switch the coil primary circuit amperage produced by a particular ballast/coil combo (too much current from not enough ballast burns out the coil over time) & the Chrome ECU is a stout street/race piece (can easily handle what you are doing).

What coil are U running??
If running a stock Mopar the resistor should be 1.0 Ohm.(Part # P5206436)

Just my $0.02... wink

DC Ignition bulletin lists P2095501 as 0.5 Ohms, or the 0.7 ohm resistor for use with production coil, with boxes P4007298 (chrome), P4120505 (chrome/orange), P4120534 (chrome)..

DC Ignition bulletin also lists the 0.5 ohm P2095501 resistor as OK with Accel Super Coil P4120889, and boxes P4007298 (chrome), P4120505 (chrome/orange), P4120534 (chrome).
A 0.7 ohm resistor is also acceptable.

(Production electronic systems used 0.5 ohm coil resistors and 5 ohm for the ECU resistor.)
