Anyone maintain a list of Vins for St. Louis built vehicle?

I’m looking to see the highest Vin sequence for 1971.

Anything higher than 219xxx ?

Thanks.

So any idea when those in the 240xxx range - when they were built? When did they start ‘72 production?

So now I have to ask - any info on Hemi’s built there in ‘71?

Latest one on record from St.Louis.

Actual build dates were not recorded then.

Cars were also built out of VIN order all the time.

So if anyone claims;

"I have the last one made..." etc. - Ask them for proof & be prepared to see none.

Very interesting. I thought the St. Louis cars had higher numbers. My St. Louis build 68 Coronet seq number starts with 273XXX. That is a schedule production date of June 26.

1971 production ended first week of July 1971
1972 production started mid-July 1972

door sticker (if original) would show "month finished" & a comparison of the sequence number on a St. Louis broadcast sheet would indicate which came first

the latest St. Louis HEMI car I have info on was "SCHEDULED" 602, there is a later scheduled blue HEMI GTX, scope I can't find info on it right now

it was at least a week late - more info & more time studying '71 St. Louis docs would provide a more detailed answer

To come up with an answer that would be 100% correct one would need a lot of broadcast sheets and information and even then there could be one odd ball Vehicle built that is outside the box. So one person would have to come up with this information study it and be able to understand the build that Chrysler used and how everything worked. So if someone wanted to take this time to accomplish this it would take them some time to amass information and come up with an answer. 6bblgt has done this before and does hold the skills to come up with an answer but this take a lot of people wanting to seen there Broad Cast Sheet to him.

at St. Louis for the 1971 model year Chrysler Corp. produced:

91,857 Plymouth B-bodies
49,036 Dodge B-bodies

140,893 total units - in a perfect world, the VIN sequence went to at least 1G240893

Door trim panels have a date of 6/26/71.
1/4 trim panels win early June.

So it’s a whole lot more than a week late.

How are seat belts coded ?

I see a part number, another code then what looks like date - is this correct for a date format on seat belts?

Was the BIW number being used on the broadcast sheet at St Louis in 71? If so wouldn't it be a better determination of actual build date?

A variation to my original question.

Any idea when the last GTX was built at St. Louis?

I recall seeing a list of accounted for GTX cars a while back. Anyone have info on StL cars regarding build dates and such.

Just interested in where mine fits in.

The bill of sale from the selling dealer looks like the car was delivered to the dealer in early September.
At first glance I thought that was strange but maybe parts shortages or something held it up.

Well, again, actual build dates were not recorded.

The cars were built out of VIN order.

So which one was actually completed last?

If you see anyone make that claim, ask them for proof.

I have heard that if you have the Moroney label that the actual build date is shown in the lower left. Here is my window sticker showing a 911 SPD but according to the window sticker it was built on 1002. Any truth to this?

the 1002 is the print date for the document
the original window sticker did not have final/official/pricing - once that was determined during late September 1970 after the Charger was built/shipped - a new one would be printed

there should be a received date on the Mr. Norm's paperwork that will pre-date 1002 scope
