I agree, those stiffener dimples on the rails don't look like MOPES.

Maybe you're right, but the OE pans I have in my basement don't seem to have so pronounced ends to their dimples.
Maybe the shadowing in the pic is throwing me off.

Joe

edit, the lips seem to be wide too, no # on that pan?

I can't find a number. Laid it next to a 187, the steering notch is different and the sump is a little different shape but they are the same height. Most of our parts I know where they came from but this one is mystery.

It sure does! Now I'm really confused where it came from, is definitely been around awhile.

Early A-Body 383 and 440 is an 893 pan, big letters on the bottom. Forwardlook just picked up a pan at Carlisle that is exactly the same. probably an early C-Body pan that can be used in an A-Body. twocents I had the 893 pan reproduced by Vans Auto a couple years ago, they go for $200.

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

Early C body pan that you can weld in baffles and use it like a 1966 to 1969 5 quart St. Hemi pan in the early, 1966 to 1970, B bodies up
I've got four or five of them in the shop devil
