There sure is demand for these and I would say that the market is huge for these nice units! The economy is doing very well and folks have discretionary money to spend right now....... I would say that at least 1/2 of all the Mopar Musclecar owners with A-833’s
will buy one.... I bet way more than half would buy one..... Way more..... many thousands of units could sell quick if these were available.... Imagine how fast a tent full of these would sell out at the Mopar Nats?

So, if I am understanding this correctly, guys have waited (and are still waiting) on a list for 5 years for this product to be released. A new investor comes along and starts fire saleing them to whomever shows him the money disregarding all those people on the list.

Please tell me this is not the case!

Jamie, doesn't warranty them Garrett Fuss Inc does all the warranty work. Jamie isn't dealing with any issues from units that don't come from him....

I've started typing 3 times now.

Rather than trying to summarize my understanding of a complicated situation, My advice to anyone wanting an 855 is to make some phone calls. Get the story from the horses mouth - both of them. Everything makes sense to me after talking to both parties and I made my decision. I believe both Jamie and John are good people and I'm glad they are a part of the Mopar world

Or, some have been on Jamie's list for well over seven years. Even with a low list number transmissions have gone to those with higher list numbers. I know he says he sells them out of order according to the models for which components are available but I know transmissions have gone to higher list numbers for certain models so his list seems to be diregarding people on the list too. Probably based on who have been good previous customers.......

Oh and to contact John Huff or warranty:

I've missed something along the way obviously. How does a third party supply a transmission to people when the guy that apparently builds them, can't?

…..YES You missed a lot. LOL......Go back and read through the thread . What a lot of people do not get is that the manufacture(Garret Fuss Inc ) builds the 855 tranny . Passon does not .

I have had the 855 in my 70 V-code Roadrunner for about 2 1/2 years. 71 steel crank "heavy rods" 440, Edelbrock/Chrysler aluminum 6bbl intake, TTi headers, purple stripe 292°/.509 cam. Looking forward to TF240S. Going to build a 6XX HP and torque stroker motor one day.
It does have some gear noise in 1-3 but that doesn't bother me, at all. I went from 3,500 RPMs in 4th with a 3.54 R&P in my Dana 60 to 2,750 in 5th with 4.10 R&P. Shifts great. I've been down the 1320 about a dozen times and the shifts are so smooth, fast, and positive that I don't even think about it, I just slam the pistol grip and the next gear is there.
I got the 855 because IT IS THE BEST, although I'm grateful that it "dropped in", I would have modded my car for the best transmission to replace the 18 spline 833 that came with the car, but the 855 makes that a non-issue.
If I had a numbers matching car or didn't want to mod, there is NO other choice but the 855.
For me, there was no other choice because someone who builds the best, sacrifices more than most know to see it through, well that man is a CHAMPION in my book, and Jamie has my loyalty and business forever.

I agree that this would be the transmission to have, but eight years on the list and no transmission is discouraging. I called Jamie and he just said it's been a frustrating process and was unwilling to provide updated delivery estimates. Does anybody have any current news?
