It's under the front of the console in E and I think later B bodies with the console mounted Slap Stick shifter. Translates fore and aft motion into rotary which is transfered down the torque shaft to the shifter linkage.

thanks guys! Yes it is reproduced. I just got it from Jamie at MegaParts. Top notch service as always from Jamie!!! Dad drove the car last night and it all appeared to work fine. Now to et his other little bugs worked out of the car!
