Does anyone have any dyno data on notching the plenum divider on a sb air gap? Or perhaps used an open spacer and saw a gain? The chevy units come with the notch. Just got me thinking, but its probably Not there for a reason.

I put a 1" supersucker spacer on mine and saw a little. Was last year so I dont remember exactly what it was. No dyno tho, real world at the track. It's stil on there so it was a gain in et.

I have modded mine on my 360 that way and added a 1" open spacer. I thinned it out, dropped it down, and profiled it as smooth as possible. Combined with the 1" spacer, it helped a lot with throttle response and a rich condition I had at idle. Without the spacer, there was little difference. Sorry, no dyno numbers, but seat of the pants feel said, much better...

I wouldnt cut the wall, but I would add a 1" - 2" open spacer for the added plenum volume you need

Mine was thinned and ground lower to blend with the radius's at the top and bottom. Its probably .250 lower in the center, and way thinner. The open spacer really makes the difference though.
