I have a '70 Cuda that is a non-numbers matching and not a trailer queen show car. She is a great driver that my wife and I drive for fun.

The original power brake booster and master cylinder are showing their age. I want to replace them and make the entire system set for the next 20+ years.

What components do you recommend that are budget friendly and will not look out of place? I have a 340/727, so I really do not have to look at a full resto-mod 4 wheel disc upgrade. Front disc/rear drum are on the vehicle now.

The current parts in the car came from an AAR doner vehicle so there may be some value there if I sell them at a swap meet.

I am not rich...but I get off my ass everyday to make sure I am not broke!

Can we get the Mexican cartels to help us with our supply chain issues? They don't seem to have any trouble getting stuff from one place to another.

RockAuto, Mancini, Napa, and many others carry the the stock replacement parts. Buy a good brand from a company that warranties the parts and you should be set.

If you want a stock-ish looking upgrade that will still fit stock wheels I would strongly consider the Stage 2 front kit from Dr Diff and maybe the rear disk conversion. He should be able to help with appropriate master cylinder, proportional valve, and booster.

Do the 11.75" "Cordoba" swap (same as Dr Diff Stage -2)... this is the best low-cost large brake conversion and everything remains Mopar. You'll need to have disc brake spindles. IF you already have them, use Dr Diff's sleeve adapter to mount the larger 11.75" rotors (that's what I should've done instead of changing to 73-up spindles.. a hassle to change spindles!).

For a master cylinder, definitely go to a modern light-weight aluminum MC... talk with Dr Diff for his suggestion.. again, remains MOPAR.

At a later time, get his 10.75" rear disc setup.

These sizes of rotors will still allow you to use 15" rims.

Mopar Mitch "Road racers and autocrossers go in deeper and come out harder!"... and rain never stops us from having fun with our cars... in fact, it makes us better drivers! Check out MOPAR ACTION MAGAZINE, August 2006 issue for feature article and specs on my autocross T/A!

Everything is still available for 70-72 B and E body brakes. WITH no swapping of parts. One Piece Rotors, Calipers from local auto store. Send Booster to be rebuilt and you could get a new replacement type booster. Depending on the specifics of the old calipers and the MC you might get big bucks for them since early 70E was a one year only and desirable for guys doing a OEM resto. Of course even your mc can be rebuilt.

If you did a full swap you already have the proportioning valve and metering valve that was part of the 70-72 Kelsey Hayes system. So you do not need to go with some disco brake swap. Unless your making this a daily driver and want something better then 1970 technology.
