I remember when Cam 2 went from $3.00 a gallon to 3.25 in a 55. Wasn't happy with that....lol

In northwest Ohio I can get 110 cam2 from the pump is $7.25-$7.50 a gallon. I was getting VP and Sunoco 110 from a National Trial for $7.50 3 years ago then I broke my hot rod. I was mixing 110 & 93 e10 pump gas for my 11-1 360 back then.

Pump gas prices have nothing to do with race gas prices.

If it was , you'd think their web site wouldn't be as difficult to get information from and they might actually have some links to actual dealers.
I like what I read , but I'll be darned if I can figure out how to lay my hands on some.

To the E85 guyz .... not racing myself now but most guys in this area have stopped using that because the formula can radically change from load to load. Most of them have switched to straight alky

If I understand correctly , and if the vendors can be believed , they use a higher quality base gasoline to start with.
I drive a tanker and when we load , it is ( depending on the season ) 15 % sub grade unleaded , which is around 84 octane , and blend it with straight ethanol.
It sounds like Sunoco and these guys start with a better base grade , which would yield a better fuel.
Straight premium from the refineries that we use is 91 octane and some stations will jack it to 93 octane with 10 % ethanol.
I am not overly concerned with lead , so I considered buying straight ethanol and mixing it with race gas.
But I am toying with the idea of buying a drum of their S and trying it out.
I did find someone local who carries it , and 335.00 a drum is better than a lot of the others.
Their R grade is 425.00 a drum , but not in stock locally.
Switching to straight booze creates another set of circumstances that I am not ready to spend on.

You definitely want a test kit and basic math skills.
I keep a 5 gallon can of E-95 laying around in case I need to sweeten what comes out of the pump.........by mid July , most of it is 85 %
But here in Mn. , they don't fill the tanks with actual E-85 until June 1.
It is E- 65 for cold weather starts from November till then.

Don't make the switch harder than it is when going to straight alcohol. A quick phone call to APD in ohio for a change-over ( I did this) or buy a new fancy billet carb. I do a lot of weekly races and changed my oil twice thanks to a 1/2 ball-valve in my car to build heat. 160.00 a drum picked up 7 miles from my house.

Compelling argument.
The price alone might sway me.
The big draw backs would be that I drive more on the street than the track , and I am inherently lazy by nature. LOL

please call one ethanol, 616-929-0812 we can set you up with a dealer in your area. IT IS available in MN. S blend and R blend.

I tried to add a link to our web sight, it would post, I'll work on that.

One more thing, our ethanol IS NOT glorified e85. Our products are a special bled of the purist, ethanol along with our own special hydrocarbons that contain no lead or mbte.

BTW... anyone considering blending your own "custom" ethanol; A piece of advice. DON"T use leaded race fuel unless you are wanting to put a new motor in your ride. The lead in race fuel causes severe detonation. Usually resulting in catastrophic engine failure.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact us @ oneethanol.com or 616-929-0812 we will be more than happy to help any way we can. we are racers just like you

In the southern portion of the St. Louis, MO area, I can get Renegade 110 for $6.77 a gallon at the pump at the local Phillips 66 station. VP 110 is $6.99 a gallon at the pump 10 miles down the road at a truck stop in Pevely, MO. Sunoco 110 is over $8 a gallon at one of the larger fuel distribution companies.

The Phillips 66 station sells around 150 gallons of Renegade a weekend during the summer months. (I keep track of the 'odometer' reading at the pump.)

$7.99 per gallon for Renegade 112. That's out of the pump at the distribution center that's about a 40 min drive from my house.
Same fuel is $63 for 5 gallons at the local Advance Auto Parts, but you get to keep the steel can it comes in. Convenient when I need some quick.
