That car has been for sale for months with no takers. No idea why. the 4 speed is of zero interest to me

I get emails from ebay when something matching my search description pops up. This car has been listed over and over

Not quite stock, looks like one door has been repainted and doesn't quite match. If I were in the market I'd probably think about it...

One of my first cars was a 66 BelvedereII 383 convertible and I loved it! That said, they just don't rank that high in popularity or value AND are expensive to restore if needed, a bunch of one year only parts that are not reproduced.

I like the car in the link on paper....Silver, Convertible, 4 speed car, etc. what's not to like? BUT, it does not show very well, and its not only in the smaller details, the wrong color engine and a multitude of incorrect engine bay details, the obvious door paint color mis match, etc. that's enough to tell me that it wasnt restored with originallity in mind and it still needs a ton of expensive work to that end. Based on what I can see (and there's almost certainly more) it's a mid teens car as it sits. .02

It's late, maybe I've gone blind, but I don't see anywhere in the listing that states the car has been restored. The ad just mentions it has 43K miles. scopeshruggy

EDIT: I tried to watch the video, but it looks like it was made with a fisher price camera and wouldn't play more than 3 seconds at a time. I gave up after 2 minutes of play time.

I don't know if it's been restored, repainted, repaired, whatever. But it's certainly no survivor, it's had plenty of work and from what I can see it doesn't appear to be very high-quality work.

Oh yeah, I agree with you 100% on that.

Not a bad car, but not great either.

This car belonged to a friend of mine here in Illinois. He stripped it and painted undercarriage. Was an original red with Black interior 4-speed car out of Iowa.
After it was painted he had it at an upholstery shop getting some work done. He pulled his van in shop to drop off some parts. The van never ran right idled high.
The van came out of park into reverse hit the rear of this car and pushed through an interior wall inside the shop into another vehicle. Rear decklid, bumper were toast,
front right framerail, fender, inner fender well, hood, and core support were damaged heavily. Paint work was less than acceptable before the accident.
It was a very clean solid floor pan car before the "resto". Very unfortunate circumstances that ruined a very nice car.

Wow, what an event, shame it happened to what sounded like a nice car.
