I've got a little work to do on my bird. It's low original miles (48K), 70% original paint, engine never cracked open, etc. Specifically I need the heater core repaired or replaced and also the washer bottle (I cracked it - oops).

Do I get just a repro bottle or do I look for a used one that has the right codes? Same for the heater core. I'd like to try and keep it as original as possible for the next owner, but I wonder if anyone cares about those items?

Send the heater core to Glen Ray radiators, you won't be sorry. As far as the washer bottle, good luck trying to find an original with all the right numbers. I'd try guessing yours, then a used and new one last.

I’d look for a decent original washer fluid bottle. You may want to check with Tony Dagastino, or some of the other well known parts guys with large inventory of original parts. You can send your heater core to Glen Ray in WI To have it recored. Nothing fits like original😀

Thank you both for the advice. I'll pull the core and send it out for rebuilding to the cheesehead. I'll take a closer look at my bottle - maybe I should epoxy the crack and leave it at that?

What numbers are in the water bottle?

I know there is a date code on the pump.

I am going to remove the bottle and have a look. I hope I have the shattered piece so I can glue it back on. I'll look for numbers.
