I know nothing about the combo but while listening the NHRA racing today there was a late model challenger with a 426" Gen III that ran 9.50 naturally aspirated as far as I could tell. Those stock and super stock guys are usually holding some numbers as well.

I will tell you what impresses me about them the most....The unavailability of blocks....The super high cost of adjustable rocker arms, and how the stroker kits are still over $3k!
The lack of after market companies that make parts for them is unreal. Where are all the companies...They certainly are on the LS band wagon....They have only had +10 years to look at the G3 platform.
How many bracket builds are out there? Hell you go looking for info on these and it is tough to find.
If it wasn't for the few Mopar die hard companies out there, there wouldn't be much...And these are the future as everything else dries up.....
With everyone going to a GM trans in their Mopar, I can't image going to an LS would be too tough of a choice when Mopar parts become impossible to get. The point is for most people the stock stuff does all of that, blocks readily available handle 1000 hp (there are plenty available if you need bigger HP), stock hydraulic lifter and rockers are fine to 7500 so who needs a cheap alternative (there are plenty of expensive ones), forged stroker kits start around $2500 or about the same as a SB kit and again there are more expensive options if you need it to handle more, eddelbrock makes a great EFI intake, ritter makes a great carb intake but they are expensive, I'll give you that one. I am not saying they aren't any parts out there, but its still a lot more than a BB stroker. I want to build a couple of them in the next few years.

Carry On....... Your car always impressed me, and you and a few others made these engines work when there was very little information available. That thing is flying, congrats on your win!!

That is awesome!! On a side note, I dont really see anyone hot rodding the base model 09 - up Challengers . Seems to me that would be the easiest gen111 hot rod swap of all. Pick up nice clean body, add the hemi drivetrain and everything you need for hemi conversion from junkyard, go nuts on the engine, add sticky tires and other race stuff ( maybe RT stickers if you like). Should be way ahead on cost vs a base RT and much faster if done rite.

I've got a stock short block 6.1 in my Roadrunner.
Just opened the ring gaps, 322 cfm ported eagle heads for 11.2:1 with 6.1 pistons and a 219/231 camshaft, TTI headers...nothing fancy, I sold of a good chunk of rare B/RB stuff to finance this.
In a 4200 lb car in 2009, I watched a 100k stock block 5.7 in a magnum go 11.50@119 with a smaller cam, less compression and IRS.
I know I'm already far lighter than the Magnum, if it takes my 3800 lb B body to the exact same 11.50@119 benchmark, I'm happy.
There was no B/RB/Fancy small block that could do everything that I wanted in on package.

The reason more folks don't do that is you usually end up spending more than just starting with an RT to begin with, assuming you want all the modern stuff to still function. Getting everything working would not be for the faint of heart or wallet. Junkyards don't seem to let that stuff go cheap either. The cheap way to do it take a v6 car, gut out all the electronic and safety garbage, cut out the dead weight similar to how we did with the drag pak program, and do a Gen 3/drag race friendly 2 or 3 speed trans/solid axle conversion. Even with fabrication work for the trans and axle install, it's less expensive than cloning an RT. The downside is....at the end you have a race car with no emissions legality so it couldn't be plated in a state that does testing. A person could get away with street driving it in MI, but if anything bad happened and they decided to go after you, they would win.

Mopar really dropped the ball on the gen3 hemis. This doesn’t go with that and that doesn’t go with this. I laugh when I see guys buying and selling only to buy again. You gotta be a nasa scientists to figure it all out and in the end most are still slower than 40 year old technology. I’ll pass but I may buy your old school junk. Lol 😂 This isn’t true. There are minimal differences and 2 minutes of research explains everything.

3550lbs in this video (Duster, not Magnum). 6.1 based - good heads - e85- no intercooler - 22lbs of boost I drove this thing for 3 hours nonstop last year at Woodward. And it was like 90 All the way from Pontiac to the start of the cruise and back to Pontiac. https://youtu.be/SMrVEbdLkwo
