Hey guys!

I am trying to sort out my diriectionals on my 72 Duster. I am by no means a wiring guru so any clear and persice help I get would be much appreciated. I was doing a quick light inspection before I take the car in to the DMV for it's light and brake inspection and found that the directionals are not working. All other lights including the hazards are functional. I am not realy sure where to start looking and I dont have any schematics. All fuses seem to be good, since the hazards flash the flasher works just no directionals.

Any help would be great, Thank you

Aren't turn signals and hazards on different flashers?

There is a separate flasher for the turn signals. I think it may be near the ashtray.

swap the (2) flasher cans & see if the open follows it. From the connectors behind the drivers side kick panel the circuits are the same rearward from there (large filament(s) in the 1157 taillight bulbs) so work upstream from there if the flasher can ain't it.

OK... I am not certain where the flasher relays are. Where should I look for both the Directional relay and the Flasher relay? also, there is a flat and wide 2 terminal wire harness located behind the kick panel that has 3 blue wires. It is not connected to anything, what is this for? Just above the kick panel, there is what looks like a rectangular relay. It has 3 terminals on the upper pupper half and a single on the lower half but the lower terminal is not connect to anything.

Thanks

The two flashers are located;one next to fuse box and the other is behind the ashtray.

The blue wires behind the kick panel that are disconnected go to the key buzzer either/or seatbelt buzzer.
Ignore unless you like listening to the most annoying sound in the world..

take those buzzer units and make up two [very] long jumper leads.
use this "test" instrument for chasing wiring issues.
works great !
