I prefer mechanical where ever possible.
My fuel pressure gauge is mounted on the cowl , and outside the car so I don't have to use an isolator.

Electronic with the EFI, I can log the fuel pressure with the other data.
The mechanical one I had, using the isolater, only was accurate when the engine was cool. The engine heat would get to the isolator and raise the pressure above the actual pressure. I think because not all the air was bled out of the isolator and line?

Given the choice, I would never use another mechanical gauge. Unless I was doing a period correct restoration of an old race car.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

Yes,I use one. i didn't want to use an isolater,so thats why I went electric. There very accurate. They are pricey. Been on the car close to 15yrs.
