Ok so Ill try the magnet and rod,if i get it back, any ideas how to put it back in position? It's VERY difficult. What worked for me, a vacuum cleaner with two extensions, two smaller diameter short extensions with LOTS of electrical tape to attach and make up the difference in diameter, then ending in a piece of fresh fuel line cut very square on the end. Turn on vacuum, put head of thrust button to the hose and maneuver it into place, when you get it there, turn off vacuum. Other than that, remove the center section. I'd be interested in seeing if anybody else did this another way without removing the center section. What I did was my last desperate plan before giving up. Nothing else I tried even came close to success. Robert

Be a good opportunity to change the oil and clean out the housing. Take a good look at the pig while you've got it out, too. And convert over to Green Bearings, toss the thrust button/ axle end adjuster....might as well add 4 wheel discs also... A win, win situation IMHO

By the time you do all this maneuvering to get this out, you could pull the pig to get it out and install it properly. If you don’t install it, you will never get the axles to proper preload. Pull it and install a new trust button. Can I have an AMEN!!

In my first post I mentioned two broomsticks and I set the pin in one spacer and taped it to the end and the other side the same way. Slide them in and have someone hold the other side tight and tap the spacers together. I found that someone had lost them and put two adjustable axles in to make up the difference.
