I hope Im not being to technical sounding. Trying to wrap up a wiring nightmare on my kids newly-acquired D100 . I have never seen a dash harness wire harness and engine harness hacked so much with tape, wire nuts and some just Twisted wires. Got charging system straightened out and the heater motor working. All of a sudden I noticed intermittently it sounds like a door buzzer under the dash. I have never had one of these new or ever had a old truck like this that actually had a door buzzer that works. What exactly is that makes that buzzer go off? Is it just seat belts or key in ignition or combination thereof? Thanks V10

My '79 W150 has a buzzer when the key is turned forward to on position before starting. If I remember correctly, it's about 15 seconds, then stops. I'd have to check that. Is your key always turned on when this intermittent buzzing is happening?
Facts are stubborn things.

not sure when it started, but they started having buzzers for seatbelts, lights on (when the ignition was off)

I have my old Haynes manual that has a wiring diagram for '75-'78 models. It does show a relay and buzzer as well as a seat belt switch.
I don't have a scanner so I tried to take a few pics. On page 3 of 4, the relay and buzzer is top right. On page 4 of 4, the seat belt switch is top left. It's not clear where they are located, but hopefully this will help.
