Let's talk about this one. Building a 4" crank small block stroker for my cousin's 100% street car. Keeping the costs down. We're talking about 425-450 hp at the crank.

What inexpensive options on dampners are there? I've seen them from $90 to $400+. I've got a "good" ATI on mine that I got used a million years ago, but what is the real difference between a $400 one and a $200 / $100 one?

I agree with Dartcuda. Years ago when I built my 360. I took a 360 balancer and a 340 (neutral) balancer to the shop that was doing the machine work. The 340 piece is about 3LBS. lighter, so I asked the guy at the shop to use it if he can. Thats what is on the car now, its no longer (neutral) but it works and it was cheap. Mike

So no other input on this one. I guess a stock one is just fine then!
