Is this a real 70 Super Bee? I saw this same car in a wrecking yard maybe 15 years ago. Looks like someone has done some "unfolding" work to the quarter panel as I recall it was bent up pretty good on one side.

And had the right front fender replaced too with that "440", if it is the real deal, right?

Always interesting to see how the green stripes fade to a near-white after years of exposure.

So your saying those stripes were originally ledger green and not white?

'Ledger' is an aftermarket stripe company term.

Chrysler just called them green. - http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/images/dealerships/colorAndTrim/1970/70_Coronet0014.jpg

Sorry for so many questions. confused

So you know how it's optioned based on the VIN number without seeing the fender tag? The decals sure looked like white to me even back then in person.

Also, the tail panel on this is munched as well. The picture I took of it they had a tire on the trunk holding it down as it would not stay shut on it's own.

It's an interesting find, but it is a bench seat column shift car in a non-high impact color. It should be saved as the rest of it looks to be in restorable shape.

I have a hard time paying much more than what it's at right now if I were a flipper/resale artist.

I remember when cars like this were left for dead because you could NOT find any sheet metal or a body shop willing to work on something this messed up.

It is a cool car with a lot of original paint.

To draw a comparison, in the current season of Garveyard cars (I'm not a fan but I did see this) they found a 71 Superbee still owned by the original owner. It was a green car. It was a 4 speed. It had roof damage. They bought it for $5500. Fixed it a little and flipped it on eBay for $18k.

The one on GYC was a 71 Super Bee. Big difference. I love a 70, but good luck finding parts. Quarters are almost impossible to find.

Definitely a real Bee, and worth saving by somebody who wants to build the car for themselves. Needs a lot though, so wouldn't be cheap/easy to do.

Are people really willing to pay that much money for that and all it's needs?

It’s in Idaho so the rest of the body probably isn’t that bad. If both front fenders are good you are looking at over a grand right there. Try fixing some of the junk we have out here. If the floors and frame rails are solid I say you are ok up to 9k on that car.
